zach called me about all the broker information. the good thing is that we have above average credit! she said that the smartest thing would be to only take out $73,000 instead of the money that we want to take out for the summerside house (the newer one). i guess because there's a better chance we'll keep our credit in good shape. also she says our debt-to-income ratio is a little up there with my car & all that stuff and the fact that zach doesn't make too much (oh, and i don't have a job, either).
i'll be happy with whatever happens. as long as we can take out more than the house to get the fridge, the couches and all that stuff that we need to upgrade.

i miss my dogs! all i would ever do when i got home from school was go outside and play with them for as long as i could. after i moved out of my mom's house, we had to get ride of most of them. since then, i just haven't had the free time to really enjoy it like i used to.
i miss my friends from elementary school. by middle school, they had all moved to other cities and never really came back to visit much.
i miss not being aware of stupid & petty things. not having drama in my life. etc.

we're supposed to hear back from the brokers tomorrow. zach's leaning toward the older house. he has so much stuff that he wants to do with it. we'll see! i'll be back later. zach needs a WoW fix.
the house in the top picture is pretty much brand new. it has everything already in it. built pretty new, but not sure what year. it's got a great fireplace & french doors. it has two bedrooms instead of three, like the other house we like. the yard is awesome, but the dogs next door are rowdy. it has cable hookups and a place for the washer and dryer. it comes with the fridge and it's being sold for $91,000. it's been on the market for a while, so we're going to try to knock off a couple thousand from that. zach's dad is a realtor so we're going to see what he can do for us.
this next house was built in 1925. but it's FULLY remodeled and it's so pretty inside.
the only thing is that the washer and dryer hookup is outside instead of inside and there's not hot water hookup. we would have to use the garden hose for that. zach and his dad think they could set up a drywall outside and a screened room in one weekend so that we could have a laundry room. we're not sure why they left that out after making everything else perfect. they put in all hardwood floors, central A/C & heating, crown molding, they put in a landscape, nice ceiling fans, new patio, everything, but didn't put in a laundry room. the fridge doesn't come with it and we're also not sure that they're going to put in a stove. this one is priced at $68,000 & has been on the market for three days.
we'll see what happens. here's from more pictures:
(i didn't get as many pictures here...)
^ the french doors and fireplace in the living area
^ the cute little doors on the 2nd bedroom
^ the master bathroom --- not too bad.
the $68,000 house ----
^ patio --- we would split it and use one area for the washer and dryer and the other as a screened room.
^closeup of the patio
^ looking from the back door to the front door
^ the living area (it's bigger than this, i just couldn't get it all in the picture)
^ the little landscaping they added
^ the breakfast nook and half of kai
^ we would have to install a dishwasher and take out the cabinets on the left side probably.
^ the crown molding in the master bedroom.
^ i love the ceiling fan in the bedroom.
^ the closets are like that in the two smaller bedrooms. not sure if they're going to put in a bar or doors or if we'll have to do that.
which house do you think we should try for? we think we're going to shoot for the new one and if that doesn't work, then definitely going to try for the older one because it's such a great deal.
we'll be closer to zach's work. we'll be closer to san marcos than austin and i don't think there's as much traffic there. housing is MUCH cheaper than out here. taking a break from the in-laws (zach wants this). they'll get off our back about moving out of their other house. we'll see how it goes and hopefully it'll be easy to qualify for one since he's a firefighter.
zach's rushing me.
