New scarf: gray, in a very soft (think old t-shirt) rayon.

Weather: cooling down.

Halloween costume: purchased.  ------------->

Halloween plans: no clue.

VME - New Orleans

Being the complete freak that I am, I'm already planning out my Halloween.  I wasn't able to celebrate last year, and it's my absolute favorite holiday, so this year, I'm going to try my best to go all out.  It's no longer acceptable to go trick-or-treating at my age, unless I have kids, and I don't really know anyone who likes Halloween enough to throw a big costume party, so I think a road trip is in the works.

The Voodoo Music Experience is the weekend before, in New Orleans, and if I buy my tickets soon, I can get in for all three days and it only costs $100.  Then I have to get a hotel room (I'm not hardcore enough to sleep in the park) and pay for gas, food, etc.  It's going to be a costly trip.  I could tuck away my plasma money.  But how cool would it be to hang out in New Orleans so close to Halloween?  In my mind, it would be second only to Salem, Massachusetts.  Ghost tours, the legendary cemeteries, the voodoo....I'm getting chills just thinking about it!

I don't know the lineup yet, except for the Big Three: R.E.M., Nine Inch Nails, and Stone Temple Pilots.  Wow, that's worth the price of admission, and then some, and then more.  I just wish it was on Halloween.

Hope you all have a wonderful Halloween!  I was SOL in the costume department, so I put a last minute ensemble together that I think my coworkers will be proud of...I shall be COUNTRY BUMPKIN.  I've got my striped rodeo shirt, my straw hat, some fake freckles, yarn-tied pigtails, a supply of toothpicks, and an extra-thick accent.  Add some jeans and ratty flip-flops, and it's like I'm back home.  Only kidding, but it's pretty funny.

I'm up extra early today; NaNoWriMo starts tomorrow, and I'll be writing from 5:45am until around 7:15am on Mondays-Thursdays.  This way, it doesn't interfere too much with family time.  On Fridays, I'll write from 12:45pm until 4:30pm or so, since it's my half day at work.  Weekends will depend on how long it takes Jason to finish his crossword puzzle, probably about an hour on both Saturday and Sunday:)  I've never scheduled myself like this before, so I'm not too sure if I'll be motivated enough. 

Do you believe in ghosts?  Have you ever seen a ghost?

Since I'm at work, I can't type up a detailed answer, but yes, I do believe in ghosts.  I have never seen anything out of the ordinary, but I have heard and felt things that I could not explain many times in my life.  Most of my family has had one experience or another.  I believe that just because you can't see it with the naked eye, it doesn't mean that it isn't there.  Take germs, for example.  :D
